Face-to-Face Course Requests for Canvas

Note that all Spring 2019 scheduled courses have already been created in Canvas. Web-assisted instructors can request modifications to their face-to-face courses using Course Creator. Course Creator allows for web-assisted instructors to add additional faculty or TAs to a course, request a course copy, request for multiple courses to be combined (or cross-listed), and/or add other special instructions.

Please go to Course Creator at to get started with requests for your face-to-face courses. Note that faculty will only be able to log in to Course Creator if they have an assigned course in PantherSoft as an instructor.

Canvas Mobile Apps

Mobile Apps are available for both faculty and students to use with Canvas. Download the app for your iOS or Android device now!

Online Faculty Starter Kit

All faculty have access in Canvas to this self-paced Faculty Starter Kit. It is designed to provide an overview of the tools and features of Canvas and to prepare you for for course design and delivery. This course highlights multiple ways you can leverage Canvas to design, deliver, and manage your course effectively. The starter kit is available once you log into Canvas.

Online Faculty Transition Kit

This self-paced course includes information, procedures, and resources for faculty who want to work independently to transition a Blackboard course to Canvas. After your Blackboard content has been moved into your Canvas course, the Faculty Transition Kit will help you determine which materials you want to work with, which will need to be edited, and which items need to be recreated. You may request access to the Faculty Transition Kit course.

Sandbox Course

A sandbox course is a private space where you can test items without impacting your live course(s). In your Sandbox Course, you will have the instructor role that allows you to utilize and practice with all tools available in a regular Canvas course.

All instructors have a Sandbox course created automatically once they receive access to Canvas. Your sandbox course will be named: “SAN1000 Sandbox FullName...” An instructor and/or staff member can request an additional sandbox course by submitting an LMS Help Case.

Please note: Additional sandboxes are granted on a case by case basis.
